During the 1st trimester we focused on reading responses to literature, summarizing skills, and comparing and contrasting . We also worked on becoming aware of and utilizing meta-cognitive awareness reading strategies. Battle of the Books preparation has gotten underway as well. The battle will be conducted in May.
